Moped Operator Seriously Injured In Deep River Crash: Police
The accident happened Sunday evening, according to state police.
DEEP RIVER, CT — A Clinton resident was seriously injured when his moped collided with a car Sunday, state police said.
The crash happened on Union Street at 8:18 p.m., according to police.
The moped operator, a 31-year-old Clinton man, was transported via ambulance to Yale New Haven Hospital.

The other driver, a 53-year-old Old Saybrook man operating a Ford Focus, was not injured, a police report shows.
An initial investigation shows the Ford Focus was westbound on Elm Street and came to a stop, then began continuing westbound on Elm, police said.

The moped was southbound on Union Street, traveling toward the intersection with Elm Street, when it collided with the Ford Focus, according to police.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.
