No

Yes, I am currently a member of the Zoning Board Of Appeals
Why are you seeking this office?
Being a Danbury resident for 36 years I am concerned about the overcrowding in Danbury. I understand that new construction and development is important to the city, however I want to be able to have a vote to determine what works within the city and what might not be good for the residents and businesses. I would ensure all proposed projects align with the city's plan of conservation and development and to make sure it promotes public health, safety, welfare, and the economic development of the city without causing pain to the taxpayers.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Overcrowding in the city, the city's dated infrastructure, housing issues, and taxes. Many of these issues have to go through the Zoning Commission before they are implemented. As a zoning board member I would be a voice for the people and veto any proposals that would add and complicate some of the issues above. That being said, I would also approve, by a case by case basis any proposals that would be beneficial for the city's growth.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Everyone running for the Zoning Commission should work in a bipartisan manner to ensure that Danbury remains one of the premiere city's in the state. The Zoning Board should always consider how their decisions will affect the city's residents today, tomorrow, and for future generations.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Being a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, plus my management experience, programming two different radio stations for 20 plus years, being involved with athletics, (sports mirrors life), and raising a family, (the most important job of all) has shaped who I am, and given me the experience to handle whatever life brings.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
-Don't ever be afraid to fail.
-Do something you love, and you'll never work a day in your life.
-Never be reluctant to hire someone younger, they may surprise you.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
As a longtime Danbury resident I am proud to call this city home, and I want to do what is in my power on the Zoning Commission to limit the overcrowding and congestion, and continue to keep the area a thriving business community, and a family friendly area for all.
