- The Chester Land Trust will host its annual meeting at the Chester Meeting House on Tuesday, December 6. According to a Facebook post about the event, "the meeting will be open to the public and start at 6:30 p.m.. A short business meeting will be held, followed by a guest speaker. Light refreshments will be served. We are pleased to announce that Christian Allyn, a UConn-trained plant scientist and invasive plant management specialist will be giving a presentation called “Japanese Knotweed Mapping and Management in Chester.” This program is free of charge. Christian has been working with CLT on its Japanese Knotweed mitigation program at the Carini Preserve on Water Street." Hope to see you there! (Town of Chester)
