The following safety tips are recommended prior to the arrival of the storm:
Our concern for this storm is water not wind. 2-4” of rain is expected with localized amounts of 5”+ not out of the question. Much of that rain falls in a short period of time tomorrow morning into midday.

There is a very real chance that there will be flooding tomorrow. As a reminder, do not cross flooded roadways, it is impossible to judge the current, tell how deep the water is, or if the road underneath has been undermined.
At this time, we do not anticipate any type of emergency evacuation. However, if the storm takes an unexpected path and gains intensity, the Town will revise its Emergency Operation Plan and will disseminate updated information as soon as it becomes available. Please look to Deep River’s website at www.deepriverct.us and our Facebook page for up to date information.
Stay safe!!!
