ESSEX, CHESTER, DEEP RIVER, CT — In late September, six members of Valley Regional’s Mock Trial Team participated in the Yale Bulldog Mock Trial competition. This annual event hosts some of the best mock trial teams throughout the country. Of the 28 teams competing, Valley Regional was the only school representing Connecticut. Each Valley team member “doubled”, serving as both a lawyer and witness, and had to prepare a case for both the prosecution and the defense. The event featured two parts: a four-round Tournament and a dynamic, two-part workshop series taught by the Yale Mock Trial Association.
