Burglary Reported on Tahmore Drive

A Tahmore Drive resident reported on Thursday that someone entered her home and stole jewelry while the resident was doing yard work on the property, police said.

The suspect -- a man wearing a dark-colored jacket and a knit hat -- entered the home through a door left unlocked while the resident was outside raking leaves. The man stole jewelry from a bedroom inside the home, according to the report.

The complainant noticed that there was a man talking on a cell phone inside of a van near her home. The van had orange New York plates and a white square on the passenger side with the name of a window company, police said.
