Cops: Ferncliff Road Home Burglarized

A Ferncliff Road resident reported to police that her home was burglarized sometime between 11 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. on Monday, April 22.

Police are on the lookout for possible suspects. A witness noticed two suspicious vehicles in the neighborhood during the window of time the burglary occurred. One vehicle was described as a "well-maintained" silver station wagon, the other was not described to police, according to the report.

The witness told police that there were two heavyset black females in each car. He said he saw two of them knocking on doors in the neighborhood, but did not see either of the two women enter a home, police said.

The resident told police that whoever burglarized her home could have entered through a rear door -- the entire doorjamb on that entryway had been damaged sometime Monday.

Jewelry was stolen from the master bedroom and it appeared that drawers in a child's bedroom had been rifled through, though nothing was reported stolen from the latter.

This is under investigation.
