A Bridgeport woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly attempted to hide stolen items in her baby's stroller at Kohl's Department Store, police said.

Stacy Sinclair, 37, of Carleton Avenue, was charged with impairing the morals of a minor, interfering with an officer, and sixth-degree larceny for attempting to shoplift $323 worth of merchandise.

Kohl's loss prevention employees suspected Sinclair had concealed some items in her purse and called police, according to the report. Sinclair had the 1-year-old in the stroller and a 3-year-old child with her at the time of the alleged shoplifting.

Responding officers asked Sinclair to hand over her purse. She reportedly ducked down behind the stroller and took the concealed items out of her purse and attempted to hide them in the stroller, police said.

A high-heeled shoe was found wrapped in a blanket next to the child's head, police said. Other items -- including a perfume bottle, shirt, and Mickey Mouse toy -- identified as stolen were found in the stroller's mesh compartments, according to the report.

Sinclair was released on a promise to appear in court on March 18.
