Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No one in my family has ever worked in politics or government
Previous public office, appointive or elective:
I have never held public office or have been appointed to public office
Why are you seeking this office?
I am seeking office because I love Fairfield and I want to see it stay a town and not become a city.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is sustaining Fairfield as a town with safe roads and maintaining affordable housing for the retirees and young residents. I intend to work with everyone in the position to help keep Fairfield a fiscally stable town despite political affiliation.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
The difference between myself and the other candidates seeking this post is that I am a strong neighborhood advocate. I have petitioned for road changes to decrease the speed and maintain the boundaries in which cars are to drive in. I worked with Bill Gerber and his administration, the department of engineering, and the police department to make changes to Redding Rd and continue to do so. I have also spoken at World Day of Remembrance for several years to those who have lost loved ones to car accidents. Presently, I have been working with The Dept of Health and advocating for the senior citizens of Parish Court who have had a rodent issue dating back to March 2024. The negligence of the present property management company has led to unsanitary living conditions for some residents and has caused tremendous anxiety amongst others. Our seniors have a right and deserve to live their twilight years in sanitary and cohesive environments.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
I intend to address maintaining Fairfield as a town. I have lived here for 18 years and moved here because it is a town and not a city. I grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. and dealt with public transportation, and traffic which is stressful. People are attracted to living in Fairfield because of the tranquility the town life has to offer, and the support residents provide for one another. I have personally experienced the kindness and support of our residents during a tragic time for my family, and was grateful to live in Fairfield because of the emotional support that we received.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I believe I can handle this position because I am a good listener. I have listened to the residents, and presented the issues of Redding Rd and Parish Court to the attention of town and state representatives to help the residents who need the help. I am not afraid to make the phone calls, or contact the individuals that are in the position to help make the changes no matter what political party they are affiliated with. The need for changes in our community is not about political party, it’s about what is best to ensure a safe, stable and healthy quality of life for our citizens and children.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
The best advice anyone ever gave me was to never give up.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I would like the voters to know that I never give up. I will use every resource that is available to make the goal come to life.
