First Selectperson Debate Scheduled In Fairfield

The League of Women Voters of Fairfield is sponsoring the January event.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The League of Women Voters of Fairfield will sponsor a First Selectperson debate between incumbent Democratic First Selectperson Christine Vitale and Republican state Sen. Tony Hwang on Jan. 14, the group announced.

Both candidates are vying for the office in a Special Election on Feb. 3.

The debate will be held at 7:15 p.m. in the Fairfield Board of Education offices at 501 Kings Highway East in Fairfield, Suite 210.

Questions for the debate may be submitted in writing by Monday, Jan. 12, to LWVofFairfield@gmail.com. Cards will also be available at the event for questions.

Additionally, the debate will be streamed on the FairTV youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@fairtvgovernment720, and can be viewed on Optimum on channel 79 or 1310.
