Why are you seeking this office?
I am honored to be running as an Independent candidate endorsed by the Democratic Party to represent the residents of District 2.
Most voters hold political views and beliefs that are not solely blue or red, they are purple and want a balanced, moderate, collaborative approach to governing our town.
As a first-time candidate for public office, I will bring a fresh perspective, energy and common sense approach to ensure we make Fairfield the best that it can be.
My wife and I have lived in Fairfield for 20 years, raising both our children here and being active in our community. As newly-minted "empty nesters", we frequently are asked by friends and family where we will move when we retire.
Our answer is simple - why would we leave, we love this town.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Having our elected town officials in both parties work together to solve the important issues that effect our residents.
These include maintaining fiscal responsibility, strong public schools, keeping Fairfield affordable and accessible, and coming up with a plan to improve traffic flow, which has dramatically increased since the pandemic due to remote work.
As an independent voice, I look forward to helping solve these issues by working with both Democrats and Republicans to solve these important issues.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am a registered Independent and have been for many years. I am also a first-time candidate, having spent my 30 year career in the business world.
So I will bring a fresh perspective and open-minded approach to the RTM, and look forward to working with both parties to ensure fiscal discipline and smart, responsible growth that benefits our residents.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Long range planning with regard to responsible development, affordability, safe streets/traffic, capital investment and public safety.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have worked in the advertising, media and sports business at both big and small companies.
Most recently, I helped launch a U.K.-based AdTech company in the U.S. from scratch. Employee #1 with no people, brand or business. Over the course of eight years, we built the team and grew the business resulting in an acquisition last year.
I have also spent many years volunteering, serving on the vestry for our church (St. Timothy's) as well as the Chairman of the Dinner of Champions for the Southern CT Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
That nothing worth achieving is ever easy
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
Our family are big baseball fans having cheered on our son for the past 14 years, playing for Fairfield National Little League (2015 9/10s State Champs), Fairfield Warde (2022 + 23 State Champs) and now just up the road for Yale University (2025 Ivy Champs)!
