Just my son and I. I'm very proud of him with his work in the pharmaceutical field.
Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No
Previous public office, appointive or elective:
Appointed member of Fairfield Board of Assessment Appeals in 2021 and 2022 to assist with the revaluation, Former Zoning Commissioner in a neighboring town, Justice of the Peace
Why are you seeking this office?
I'd like to continue my work from the prior revaluation and ensure taxpayers have a full opportunity to have a voice that will be heard.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Unfair and unjust assessment values placed on real property thereby raising their taxes, sometimes to a point where long time residents would need to move.
I commit to holding open and fair hearings and fighting for my constituents rights in the deliberation process.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I have been a Realtor for over 30 years. I have had the honor and privilege to be appointed to assist the elected members of the Board of Assessment Appeals during the last revaluation, and we are upon the newest revaluation.
My previous experience in personally hearing 88 appeals and deliberating over 600 appeals makes me a proven and well qualified candidate
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
I am committed to ensure fair and accurate property values
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
My previous experience on the Board of Assessment Appeals in Fairfield.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Listen twice as much as you speak.
There's a reason you have two ears and only one mouth.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I negotiate for a living. Although each member of the Board of Assessment Appeals will hear your case, we all take notes and state your case to all the other Board members when deliberating.
My job as a Realtor not only assures the taxpayer that I know value, it also speaks volumes of my negotiating skills with other Board members on your behalf. Thats whether I personally hear your case or not.
