Off-Duty Cop Handcuffs Drunk Patron At Fairfield Brewery: Police
The incident led to the off-duty Bridgeport police officer sustaining a cut on his hand, according to Fairfield police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — An altercation at a Fairfield brewery between an off-duty Bridgeport police officer and a rowdy patron resulted in the cop handcuffing the man before security intervened, according to Fairfield police.
No arrests were made in the Feb. 15 incident at Elicit Brewing Co., but the off-duty officer sustained a cut on his hand that required medical treatment.
Fairfield Police Sgt. Jenna Wellington told Patch that the altercation began when "an allegedly intoxicated individual" approached the officer twice and shoved him.

"During the second encounter, the off-duty officer sustained a laceration to his hand," Wellington said. "At that point, he placed the individual in handcuffs and immediately alerted security, who then contacted Fairfield Police."
The off-duty officer then received treatment for his hand. Additional information was not disclosed.
