FAIRFIELD, CT — Beverly Balaz, President and CEO of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, released the following statement Thursday about the cancellation of this weekend's electronic recycling fundraiser:

The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce deeply regrets to announce the cancellation of our
upcoming event, "Electronics Recycling Collection Event."

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have encountered challenges related to
permits for this event. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our
valued members, attendees, and the community.
