"A rapid deployment of officers and an initial interview with the victim led officers to a vacant apartment in the building which was found to be locked from the inside.  While preparing to make entry, the suspect jumped out of a second floor rear window and fled into the wooded area adjacent to Route 25."

"Troopers monitoring Route 25 observed the suspect flee across the highway toward the parking lots at the end of Quarry Road and began a foot chase through the lots.  A Trumbull Officer responding to the area, observed the suspect run behind a building and attempt to climb a fence when he was apprehended by the Trumbull officer with the assistance of a State Trooper," according to Harry.

No weapon was found.

Due to a minor injury to his hand, the suspect was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport for treatment.  While there, he attempted to escape and was chased and apprehended once again by two Trumbull Officers within the hospital, police said..

The victim allegedly reported that the suspect attempted to strangle her, punched her in the face several times and threatened to kill her and other family members.  She refused medical attention at the scene.

Rosario was also wanted on a Trumbull warrant for Violation of a Protective Order from a previous encounter with the victim.

The outstanding arrest warrant for a previous Violation of a Protective Order was served and Bond was set at $50,000, police said.
