Fairfield Man Arrested on More Larceny, Forgery Charges

Police obtained a warrant for the 33-year-old suspect, who's already facing dozens of charges.

A 33-year-old Fairfield man, who’s already facing dozens of larceny, forgery and bad check charges, was arrested this week by Greenwich Police on more larceny and forgery charges.

The charges are related to an Oct. 5 incident on North Water Street, according to a police report. Officers obtained an arrest warrant for the man and arrested him on third-degree larceny, second-degree forgery and insurance fraud charges when he appeared in state Superior Court in Stamford on Nov. 23.

Police did not provide details in the case that led to the arrest of Jason E. Turoczi of Tide Mill Terrace in Fairfield. Bond the Greenwich charges was set at $2,916.

According to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website, Turoczi is facing dozens of charges in several Fairfield County towns.

Since June, Turoczi has been arrested on forgery, larceny, identity theft, issuing a bad check, disorderly conduct and violation of probation charges in Fairfield, Brookfield, Milford, Weston, Norwalk, Darien and Wilton, according to the Judicial Branch.

He remains in custody and is scheduled to return to court on Dec. 3, according to the Judicial Branch.
