Fairfield Museum Hosts 'Storm Confessions' Public Forum

From the Fairfield Museum and History Center: Were you here for Irene? Did you get flooded during Sandy? We want to hear your stories! The Fairfield Museum is hosting a night for “Storm Confessions” on Thursday, January 26 from 6-8pm. This “Museum After Dark” event is free and open to the public. A wine and cheese reception will begin at 6pm and then, at 6:45, State Representative Brenda Kupchick will moderate this lively discussion of neighbors helping neighbors, survival stories and other “storm confessions.”

The Fairfield Museum would like to preserve the history of the Beach Area and welcomes coastal residents to share their experiences. Tell the group whether you evacuated or stayed home. Describe the condition of your home and yard when you returned. Share how your neighbors and others helped you get through the devastation. And share how you are faring now. Did you elevate your home? Move away? Tear it down? Where are you now?

Join neighbors and other residents to listen and share stories (both funny and sad) about the pleasures and challenges of living on the Fairfield coast.

This program is presented in conjunction with the Museum’s Rising Tides exhibition, which runs through February 28 and is open daily from 10am-4pm., is sponsored by Fairfield University with additional support from Avangrid and Fairfield County Bank Insurance Services.
