Popular Fairfield Bar & Restaurant Abruptly Closes

FAIRFIELD, CT — Local Craft Kitchen & Bar, at 85 Mill Plain Road in Fairfield's SportsPlex development, announced it has closed after 12 years.

"We are incredibly grateful for the love and support our community has shown us over the years," the owners wrote in a message on the restaurant's website. "It has truly been an honor to serve you, share meals, and create memories together. Thank you for being part of our journey, we could not have done it without you."

The reason for the closure was not disclosed, but in recent days, a sign in a window at the spot said it was closed for renovations, the Connecticut Post reported.

Patrons with Fairfield Local gift cards can redeem them at the sister restaurant, SBC Restaurant & Beer Bar in Milford. "We invite you to visit and continue enjoying great food and hospitality with us there," the owners said.

They added, "From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of the Fairfield Local family."
