Fairfield National Wins 2nd Little League World Series Game
The team faced off against Honolulu, Hawaii on Friday night.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Oops, they did it again.
Fairfield National, coming off a thrilling 1-0 win over a tough Texas team, won its second Little League World Series game Friday night, handily defeating the West Region representative Honolulu, Hawaii, which won the LLWS in 2022.
The Fairfield team, representing the Metro Region in the Williamsport, Pennsylvania classic, beat Honolulu 5-1, and will next face the Midwest Region representative, Sioux Falls Little League from Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Monday night.

Fairfield again got strong pitching performances from its starter, SJ Taxiltaridis, and reliever, Tommy D'Amura. Both Taxiltaridis and D'Amura were caught by Jimmy Taxiltaridis, SJ's brother, who is the team's catcher.

After failing to score in the first four innings, and only getting one hit in the process, Fairfield scored five runs in the fifth inning, with timely hitting from Boden Dunlap and Luca Pellegrini, aided by walks and a mishandled grounder from Charlie McCullough that plated two runs.
Monday's game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN 2.
