Fairfield Police Warn Residents To Stay Alert About Internet Crime
"Don't pay upfront for a promise," according to authorities.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Police Department is continuing its warnings to residents about scams.
In a post on the department's Facebook page (see below), officials are encouraging residents to stay alert about internet scams, some of which ask people to pay upfront for services.
"Don’t pay upfront for things like debt relief, always verify suspicious offers, and talk to someone you trust if something seems off," officials said. "You can always call the police."
