Fairfield Resident Promoted To Senior VP Of Stamford Company

The Ashforth Company, a diversified commercial real estate firm headquartered in Stamford, CT, announced the promotion of Sandra Funk to Senior Vice President, Diversified Investments. She is responsible for overseeing Ashforth’s diversified portfolio, with a focus on non-real estate investments including fixed income, equity, hedge fund and private equity assets.

Ms. Funk also serves on Ashforth’s Investment Committee and works closely with Ashforth’s outside advisors to pursue new opportunities, perform due diligence, and monitor existing investments.

Ms. Funk first joined Ashforth in 1993 in the Investment Department, where she assisted in determining the Company’s first non-real estate investments. In 1994, after the acquisition of a majority interest in Barrett Associates, Inc. by The Ashforth Company, Ms. Funk joined Barrett Associates. Barrett Associates, now known as Barrett Asset Management, LLC, is a high-net-worth investment advisory firm in New York City. In 2004, she rejoined Ashforth in the Diversified Investments Department.

Ms. Funk received her B.S. in Finance from Providence College. She is a member of Impact Fairfield County and is a resident of Fairfield, CT.
