Fairfield Residents Upset Over Solar-Panel Installation Plans in Pine Creek
The project is estimated at no additional cost for the town and will generate an electrical revenue.

Some Fairfield residents are upset over a plan for solar-panel installation at the Beanery and Tennis Center on Old Dam Road in the Pine Creek area, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The plan involves installing three solar-panels, two behind the buildings and one in the parking lot.
Neighbors to the building expressed little concern over the two panels behind the buildings, but the panel in the parking lot is stirring a lot of concern because they think it will look unattractive and hurt property values, the Citizen reported.

The Board of Selectmen must approve the project. The panels are said to cost the town nothing to install because they are provided by Skyview Ventures, the Citizen reported. Savings in electrical costs would be split between the town and the Tennis Center.
