An attendant at Swedish Motors Gulf on Black Rock Turnpike reported to police on Tuesday that three separate people used counterfeit $50 bills to pay for gas.
The three suspects arrived and paid around the same time -- at approximately 8:45 p.m. The attendant gave change back to each -- one transaction resulted in $40 in change.
The suspects left and drove toward the Merritt Parkway before the attendant realized the bills were counterfeit.
Police are reviewing surveillance video. This is under investigation.
