Five Things: Concussion Discussion

Check out "Five Things to Know" each weekday morning to help plan your day.

Here are five things to know about Fairfield for Tuesday, April 30:

1. The weather.
There is a slight chance of rain before noon, according to the National Weather Service. Skies will become partly sunny later in the day, with temperatures forecast to reach a high of 62 degrees.

2. Your commute.
Don't forget to check the Department of Transportation's Traffic Cameras to scope out your morning and evening commutes.

3. The town's pension funds.
The Board of Finance will review the status of the pension funds at its quarterly meeting  – 7:30 p.m. at the Board of Education Conference Room (501 Kings Highway East, second floor).

4. Autism, ADHD, Allergies, and Asthma.
There's a lecture at the Fairfield Public Library's main branch to discuss these conditions. The talk starts at 7 p.m.

5. Concussion Discussion.
The Fairfield Rotary Club and Board of Education have partnered to present "Concussion Discussion," a presentation on what everyone -- not just athletes -- should know about concussions.
