The 41-year-old was arrested in April on a charge of second-degree threatening, which led to the Oct. 22 arrest.
"A subsequent investigation from [the April] arrest revealed that he had expressed a desire to kill specific Fairfield Police Detectives and had gone to the Fairfield Police Department to observe officers," Sgt. Jenna Wellington told Patch.

Wellington added, "Threats or harassment toward members of the Fairfield Police Department are taken with the utmost seriousness. Such behavior undermines the safety of our officers and the community they serve, and will be investigated aggressively and prosecuted to the fullest extent allowed by law."
