Former Westport Bertucci's Employee Charged With Increasing Tips, Pocketing Cash

The employee, a Fairfield resident, allegedly altered credit card receipts from patrons.

Mary Miller, 24, of Fairfield, was charged March 15 with third-degree forgery, illegal use of a credit card, and sixth-degree larceny. Westport police officers responded to Waterbury Police Department where they were holding Miller, who had an active warrant for her arrest.

The warrant stems back to December 2011 when Miller, who had been employed at , was allegedly altering credit card receipts from patrons, increasing the tip amount and pocketing the cash, police said.

She posted a $5,000 bond and was released for court on March 26.
