FAIRFIELD, CT — Haven Hot Chicken, which specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken cuisine, will open its new restaurant in Fairfield on Aug. 3, the company announced.

The Fairfield spot, at 907 Post Road, will be the chain's ninth in Connecticut, joining locations in New Haven, North Haven, Norwalk, Orange, Oxford, Storrs, Middletown and Newington.

"Fairfield – here we come! – and we couldn't be more excited to be opening during the summertime in this beautiful, beachfront community - what better way to spend an afternoon at the beach than with a picnic from Haven Hot Chicken?," said David Sepulveda, general manager of Haven Hot Chicken Fairfield, in a statement. "To celebrate our opening in this new community, we're continuing our tradition of giving away our signature item – THE Sandwich – to the first 203 people in line when we cut the ribbon and open our doors at 11am on August 3rd. This new storefront is an easy hop off 95 with a large parking lot, in close proximity to Fairfield University, multiple beaches and downtown shopping and errands!"
