Junior League Hosts 'Enchanted Castle' In Fairfield Through Sunday
The popular event is being held for the first time since 2019, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County is hosting its annual "Enchanted Castle: A Magical Storybook Experience" this Halloween season in Fairfield through Sunday.
Held for the first time since 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event at the historic Burr Mansion on Old Post Road features volunteer high school actors performing for children in various themed rooms.
"We're super excited to be back," league co-Chair Debbie Lubinsky told Patch. "We've sold 1,050 tickets so far."

The event runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are $10 each, and admission for children 2 years old and younger is free.

More than 100 volunteers, including the high school actors, will participate in the event, such as acting out stories in:
- The Little Mermaid room
- The Wizard of Oz room
- The Beauty and the Beast room
- The Jungle Book room
- The Aladdin room
The event also features pumpkin decorating, face painting and a café.
