FAIRFIELD, CT — At the Republican Caucus held on Monday, July 24th, Fairfield First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick accepted the nomination to run for a second term alongside running mate, former State Representative Brian Farnen.

“What we continue to hear from residents, visitors and small business owners alike is ‘keep up the good work’,” said Kupchick. “The last four years have been challenging, especially during the dark days of COVID and working to clean up the impact of the largest public corruption scandal and environmental disaster in our Town’s history, but the positive feedback we receive from the community keeps us motivated.”

During her acceptance speech, Kupchick said “As your First Selectwoman, and a fourth generation Fairfielder, it is my honor to accept the nomination from the RTC for a second term. It has always been my priority to instill bipartisanship in Town Government by continuing to emphasize the need for people to work together regardless of political affiliation. It is important to remember that we are all part of one community. I know that we can accomplish great things by putting good public policy over politics as demonstrated with this year's budget receiving bipartisan, unanimous support from all three town voting bodies.”

Kupchick said, “We delivered on our promises to better serve our community, restore trust in town government, grow a smart and sustainable economy, while providing services that meet the needs of residents of all ages.” Kupchick added, “We did all of this while delivering a less than 1% tax increase throughout the four years of my first term in office while also improving services for our residents and businesses”.
