Kupchick Meets with Connecticut Girl Scouts

From CT House Republicans: On Monday, State Reps. Brenda Kupchick (R-132) welcomed Girl Scouts from around the state to the State Capitol in honor of the General Assembly's annual Girl Scout Day celebration.

Over 150 Girl Scouts from across the state visited Hartford to learn about state government and discuss key issues impacting girls statewide.

Kupchick said, "Scouting has a deep tradition of civic responsibility. Having the scouts visit legislators at the Capitol is a valuable learning experience for the girls and a fun break for legislators. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn about public service is refreshing.

The Girl Scouts organization began on March 12th, 1912 in Savannah, Georgia. The organization has since become a household name across America and has helped countless young girls build the three C's: courage, confidence and character. Today there are 3.2 million girl scouts in America.
