LaRouche PAC Stops in Fairfield with Mission to Impeach Obama

For those Patch readers clamoring for an "Impeach Obama" headquarters, you've got it -- albeit a temporary and traveling one.

Chris Sare and a few other members of the LaRouche Political Action Committee set up at the corner of Beach and Post roads Wednesday to deliver their message:

"We are leading the fight to impeach Obama," Sare, a New Jersey resident, said.

"The illegal war in Libya and the Benghazi debacle should do it," he added.

The LaRouche PAC is calling for H.Res 36 to be brought up for a vote and passed by Congress. The resolution would create a select committee to investigate the Sept. 11,
2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

The committee also wants to muster the support to pass H.Res 129, a resolution to restore the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933, separating investment and commercial banking activity.

"We need to stop the hyper-inflationary bailouts," Sare said.

The aim in demonstrating in Fairfield -- besides getting the word out to the public -- is to persuade U.S. Rep. Jim Himes to "sign on," Sare said.

Members of the LaRouche PAC, including Sare, recently completed a week of action in Washington, D.C. Sare said it went well -- the group managed to get about 15 representatives to cosponsor H.Res 36 and a handful of cosponsors for H.Res 129.

Currently, H.Res 36 has 146 cosponsors and H.Res 129 has 62, Sare said.
