A local man recently arrested for inappropriately touching a teen in Fairfield has been accused of similar incidents in Ridgefield.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — A Redding man arrested for groping a 14-year-old girl at Jennings Beach in Fairfield allegedly has done similar things twice before, according to The Connecticut Post. Police told the paper that Harry Metz, 54, of Redding, inappropriately touched a ticket taker at the Ridgefield Playhouse, a few years back.

A second incident was reported to have occurred minutes before he was accused of the third incident, molesting the 14-year-old girl at Jennings Beach, police said.

Metz turned himself in at police headquarters on August 8 and was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. This is not Metz's first brush with the law. Court records show he was arrested and found guilty in 2012 for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Metz was sentenced to six months jail and 18 months of probation.
