Officers stopped a car with a cracked windshield Sunday and ended up finding a "marijuana cookbook" and evidence of a drug factory in the vehicle, police said.
Police conducted a motor vehicle stop to address the cracked windshield violation just before 4 p.m. on the Post Road on Sunday. According to the report, the driver -- a juvenile -- appeared to be nervous and the front passenger was making "furtive" movements and reaching under his seat.

A small bag of marijuana was found underneath the seat. K-9 Officer Ruger detected more marijuana in a duffel bag in the car, department spokesperson Sgt. Sue Lussier said.
The bag also contained 800 small glassine bags commonly used for packaging narcotics, a small amount of marijuana and glass pipes with marijuana residue, and a book titled "The Marijuana Chef Cookbook," according to the report.

Police found a bottle of vodka in the car and a black pellet gun that had no markings to distinguish it from a real gun, according to the report. There were two other people in the car; all four were juveniles.
The driver of the car -- a 17-year-old Fairfield resident -- was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of a dangerous weapon in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was also issued infractions for possession of alcohol by a minor and driving with a defective windshield.
All four youths were released to the custody of their parents. The arrested teen was issued a juvenile summons to appear in court on April 1.
