The shop specializes in New York-style, kettle-boiled bagels made from scratch daily.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Bar Bagel, a new bagel shop at 2385 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, held a grand opening earlier this month, attended by First Selectman Bill Gerber, Community and Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart, and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce President Beverly Balaz.
The officials joined owner John Riina, along with his family and staff, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the business's official launch.
Bar Bagel specializes in New York-style, kettle-boiled bagels made from scratch daily. In addition to classic offerings, the shop features house-made spreads, seasonal items, and a variety of breakfast and lunch options.

Riina founded and operates Village Bagels, and he expressed appreciation for the community's support.
"Being part of the Fairfield community means everything to the team at Bar Bagel," Riina said. "We love Fairfield's energy- the local pride, the support for small businesses, and the strong sense of connection. Having that familiar sense of support that we've received at Village Bagels, we're honored to become a part of that fabric again, and we're committed to giving back through local partnerships, events, and charitable initiatives."
