New Food Hall Delivery Chain To Open Fairfield Location In February
Wonder, which will also feature in-house dining, is slated to open next month at 1885 Black Rock Turnpike.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A unique dining experience is coming to Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield in February.
Wonder, which recently opened its first Connecticut in Stamford this month, serves foods from more than a dozen different restaurants, all under one roof.
In addition to the two Connecticut stores, Wonder also has locations in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.

Though it may sound like a "ghost kitchen," a spokesperson for Wonder told Patch that the concept is significantly different.
"Wonder offers dine-in options, which immediately distinguishes it as different from a ghost kitchen (which only does food delivery)," the spokesperson said in an email. "Each restaurant/brand is owned and operated by Wonder - as opposed to ghost kitchens, which lease out their kitchen space to third-parties."

The Fairfield Wonder is scheduled to open on Feb. 13 at 1885 Black Rock Turnpike, and will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
It will feature foods from more than 30 restaurants, including the following:
Limesalt (Mexican); Tejas Barbecue (BBQ); Fred's Meat & Bread (sandwiches); Yasas by Michael Symon (Mediterranean); Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson (fried chicken); Burger Baby (hamburgers); Wing Trip (chicken wings); Alanza Pizza; Room for Dessert; Alanza (Italian); Detroit Brick Pizza Co.; Bobby Flay Steak (steakhouse); Royal Greens (salads and bowls); Hanu Poke; The Mainstay by Marc Murphy (comfort food); Di Fara Pizza; Walnut Lane (New American); Maydan (Middle Eastern); and Bellies (kids menu).
The company partners with chefs from the 30-plus restaurants it selects, and then those chefs work with Wonder to replicate their dishes.
Wonder will also offer takeout and food delivery, which can be at your door in 35 or less, according to the company.
"Wonder also employs and operates its network of delivery couriers - as opposed to ghost kitchens, who typically rely on third-parties for delivery as well," the spokesperson said.
