New Nursery Opens in Black Rock

A new nursery has opened just over Fairfield's border in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport.

J.P. Philbin's Nursery, a father-son business helmed by James and Joseph Philbin, is located on 3369 Fairfield Avenue. The nursery officially opened for business on April 13.

J.P. Philbin's offers an assortment of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, herbs, and soil amendments for gardening. It's open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Philbins also run an established landscaping firm, J.P. Philbin Landscapes.
