1. What made you open your business in the Town of Fairfield?
ASAP Training chose to establish its flagship facility at 2181 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield to serve a community with deep athletic roots, a strong sense of wellness, and a growing demand for high-level training. Fairfield County is home to competitive athletes of all ages — from middle school standouts to college-bound players and aspiring pros — making it an ideal location for a performance center built on the principles of Athleticism, Speed, Agility, and Power.

This central location allows ASAP to partner directly with local schools and teams, support athletes through return-to-play protocols, and provide expert-led programming where they live and compete. At the same time, Fairfield’s vibrant, health-conscious community makes it the perfect place to offer small group adult personal training — helping parents, professionals, and weekend warriors build strength, prevent injury, and feel confident in their bodies.

At the heart of our program is elite-level coaching, led by Rob Dombrowski — widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable and trusted performance coaches in the region. With decades of experience training NHL, collegiate, and high school athletes, Rob brings a level of precision, care, and expertise that sets the tone for everything we do.

1. Performance Evaluations

Owner & Coach Experience
ASAP Training was founded by a team of professionals who’ve lived and breathed high-performance sports — not only as coaches, but as elite athletes themselves. Their combined expertise spans the NHL, Olympics, NCAA, and private performance sectors, creating a one-of-a-kind training environment rooted in real-world experience andproven results.
Rob Dombrowski – Co-Founder & Director of Performance
Rob brings more than 15 years of experience coaching athletes at the highest levels — including the NHL, NFL, MLB, and Division I college programs. Before launching ASAP, he spent nine years as Director of Performance at Prentiss Hockey Performance and three years as the Director of Hockey Performance at Sacred Heart University, where he developed a reputation for combining deep technical knowledge with a personal, athlete-first approach.
• BS in Exercise Science from Sacred Heart University
• NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
• Certified in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) and Functional Range Assessment (FRA)
Rob is the engine behind ASAP’s training philosophy — blending sport science, coaching intuition, and a relentless commitment to helping every athlete and adult move and perform at their absolute best.
Mark Arcobello – Co-Founder
Mark is a Milford native, Yale All-American, and veteran of 139 NHL games. He’s competed at the highest levels of hockey worldwide — including representing Team USA in the 2015 World Championships (bronze medal) and the 2018 Winter Olympics.
• Played over 900 pro games across the NHL, AHL, and top European leagues
• Brings global playing experience and a deep understanding of high-performance culture
Brian O’Neill – Co-Founder
Brian is one of the most accomplished American players in international hockey today. A Yale graduate and Ivy League Player of the Year, he went on to win the AHL MVP, capture a Calder Cup, and represent the U.S. at both the 2018 and 2022 Olympic Games.
• Played professionally across the NHL, KHL, and SHL
• Ranks among the top U.S.-born scorers in KHL history
• Brings a rare combination of professionalism, work ethic, and long-term performance insight
