Novo Bar & Grill In Fairfield Abruptly Closes: Report
The closure follows the recent shuttering of nearby Craft 260 in the spring.
FAIRFIELD, CT — In the course of a year, Novo Bar & Grill, at 222 Post Road in Fairfield, appears to have closed, the CT Insider reports.
The restaurant, which featured Latino cuisine, was rebranded last year, after opening in late 2022 as Madero's Grill.
Novo's closure marks the second restaurant in the immediate area to shut down, following the similarly abrupt closure of Craft 260 in the spring.

According to Mark Barnhart, Fairfield's Director of Community & Economic Development, such closures sometimes happen, in part due to the town's "very competitive" restaurant scene.
"Fairfield is fortunate to have many great dining options, but it creates some pressure to stand out from the crowd, and to get noticed," Barnhart told Patch. "We never like to see any small business close, but it’s part of the business cycle and does provide an opportunity for someone else to try something new."
