Parade & Celebration Planned In Fairfield To Honor Fairfield National Little League Team

The team is playing in the U.S. Championship game of the Little League World Series on Saturday.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Win or lose this weekend, the Fairfield National Little League team will be celebrated on Monday, Aug. 25, with a parade and rally at Sherman Green in Fairfield, officials announced on Friday.

The team enters Saturday's United States Championship game with a 4-0 record in the Little League World Series, and will face a team they have already beaten once in the tournament, Summerlin South Little League from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The winner of Saturday's game will face the winner of Saturday's International Championship game — between the Asia-Pacific Region and the Caribbean Region — on Sunday. If Fairfield loses on Saturday, the team will play in the Third Place game on Sunday.
