Pequot Library Hosts Golf Season With John Steinbreder

John Steinbreder an award winning journalist will be at Pequot Library discussing the 2017 Masters Tournament and signing books.

From Pequot Library: Kick off the golf season with John Steinbreder, award-winning journalist and senior writer for Global Golf Post, as he discusses his experiences as a writer covering 23 Masters. He will share the history of the tournament and the Augusta National Golf Club. He can tell golf tales from the course to the clubhouse.

Join other golf fans at Pequot Library in Southport, CT, on March 23, 2017, from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for An Evening with John Steinbreder, to hear the inside scoop on the upcoming 2017 Masters Tournament. Book signing and light refreshments will follow a 30-40 minute talk. The evening is sponsored by Broken Shed Vodka. This program is free and open to all.

Steinbreder has written about golf on five continents, received ten honors for his work from the Golf Writers Association of America, as well as 17 from the International Network of Golf. Steinbreder is the author of 19 books, including Club Life, Golf Kohler: In the New and Old Worlds, The 3-Degree Putting Solution, Golf Rules & Etiquette for Dummies, and Golf Courses of the U.S. Open.

Steinbreder graduated from Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland with an Associate of Arts degree in 1976 and then attended the University of Nairobi in 1977. In 1979, he received a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oregon. He worked as a reporter for Fortune magazine from 1983-1988 and then moved to Sports Illustrated, where served as a writer and reporter from 1988 to 1991. Steinbreder then joined the staff of Golfweek in 1999, as a senior writer, and was employed there until 2008. A year later, he helped found Global Golf Post. He lives in Redding, Connecticut.
