The suspect was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, possession of narcotics, illegal storage of narcotics and possession of a controlled substance after officers responded to a complaint from another guest in the motel about screaming, banging on walls and knocking on other guests' doors, police said.

The man had morpine pills, a packet of steroid tablets and cocaine, police said.

Police said the suspect couldn't remember anything about how he got to the motel room and that the last thing he remembered was being in a downtown restaurant where he was drinking. He had flipped over his bed, which had blood on the sheets, holes were punched in the walls and both lamps had been knocked over, causing about $1,200 in damages, police said.

Police said the man believes he was assaulted at the restaurant.

"When asked to present ID, he pulled out an unlabeled bottle containing pills," said Police Lt. James Perez, a department spokesman. "He said they belonged to him but couldn't say what they were." Perez said the pills were morphine and that the suspect later said he had the pills due to a car accident. The man told officers he paid 50 cents a pill over the Internet for the steroids, police said.

The man was taken by AMR Ambulance Co. to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport where he was treated for a cut on his face and a contusion that required staples to close, police said. He was arrested after he was released from the hospital, police said.

Police said a bartender at 55 Wine Bar & Restaurant on Miller Street in Fairfield had driven the suspect to the Fairfield Inn and that the bartender told officers that the man became intoxicated in the restaurant and was being a nuisance.

An 18-year-old Bridgeport man was charged with violation of a protective order early Friday after a patrol officer pulled over the car he was driving on Kings Highway East in Fairfield because it had a loud muffler.

Police said Wilfredo Perez, of Coleman Street, had a female passenger in his car who had a protective order against him due to a domestic violence incident in Waterbury. The order prohibited Perez from having any contact with the 19-year-old woman, police said.

Perez was released on a promise to appear Friday in Bridgeport Superior Court. He was pulled over about 2:53 a.m., police said.

A 22-year-old man who hosted an "extremely loud" party at the house he lives in on New Hampshire Avenue in Fairfield was arrested early Saturday, police said.

Police said a neighbor called police to complain about the party and that officers could hear loud music and yelling coming from the house from several streets away about 12:28 a.m. A total of about 100 people were inside the house and in the yard, police said.

Gareth Little was charged with disorderly conduct and was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court April 26. He also was charged with failure to pay or plead due to a warrant out of Stamford, police said.

A Fairfield man was charged with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor Sunday afternoon after he got into a dispute with his son over a school project, police said.

John Sabito, 53, of Catherine Terrace, became annoyed with his 13-year-old son clicking a mouse on a computer, and, when his son tried to leave the computer to go to the bathroom, Sabito put both of his hands on his son's shoulder and neck area to keep him in his chair, police said.

Sabito was released on $500 bond and was scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Monday. He was told not to have any contact with his son until he appeared in court, police said. Sabito was arrested about 12:48 p.m., police said.

Two tires were slashed on a car parked on Stratfield Road in Fairfield sometime Friday night or Saturday morning, police said. Each of the tires was valued at $200, police said.

A visitor to Fairfield University was arrested on a drug charge Saturday night after police responded to a request for assistance from university security who had found the visitor in possession of marijuana in a Jogues Hall dormitory room, police said.

Robert Simonton, 18, of unknown address, was charged with possession of marijuana. He was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on May 2, police said.

Police said Fairfield U. security heard loud music coming from the dorm room and smelled marijuana. Security asked Simonton to empty his pockets and Simonton took out a marijuana cigarette, police said.
