Police believe Comforti purchased a train ticket going to New York City on Wednesday, April 10. It is unknown if he actually took the train to New York City or if he is still in the Fairfield area.

Investigators are working with the Metro North and New York City police to attempt to locate Comforti, according to Lussier.

Comforti’s vehicle was located on the north side of the Fairfield Center train station, with the keys and his cell phone inside the vehicle. There is no indication that he is in danger or taken against his will, Lussier said.

He reportedly left on his own and has not been in contact with family or friends since and usually does keep in communication.

If anyone has information on Comforti's whereabouts, please contact the Fairfield Detective Bureau at 203-254-4840.
