Replica Vietnam War Memorial Arrives In Fairfield Tuesday
The traveling three-fourths sized replica of the Vietnam War memorial will be in Fairfield before a viewing in Bridgeport this week.

FAIRFIELD, CT —
A trailer carrying a replica of the Washington D.C. Vietnam War Memorial/Mobile Education Center will arrive in Fairfield tomorrow, Tuesday, September 24, 2024, around 12:15 pm at the corner of Post and South Benson Roads. You can park in the lot where Bob Stores (889 Post) was located.

A Fairfield Fire Department truck will stop traffic in the intersection where a soloist will sing the National Anthem. The stop in Fairfield will be brief.
The traveling three-fourths sized replica of the Vietnam War memorial, which will be escorted by Police, Vietnam Veterans, and other First Responders, leaves Sherwood Island State Park tomorrow around 12 pm, making a brief stop in Fairfield and then proceeding to Port 5, a Veterans organization in Bridgeport. From there, the trailer carrying the Wall will continue to Veterans Memorial Park in Bridgeport (on Park Avenue, behind the Discovery Museum or on Madison Avenue, behind Fire Department Engine 16) where the Wall will be assembled for a four-day stop for the public from Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, September 29.
