Sally’s Apizza Sets Opening Date For Fairfield Location

FAIRFIELD, CT — Sally’s Apizza will open its long-awaited Fairfield location on Thursday, Dec. 1, the owners announced this week.

The new location will officially open at 665 Commerce Drive in Fairfield at 6 p.m. on Dec. 1, according to posts on social media and the pizzeria’s website.

Sally’s Apizza confirmed last year that it was coming to Fairfield, and initially the thought was that it would open this past summer.

Fairfield will be Sally's third location, joining the iconic New Haven spot and Stamford, which opened in October 2021.

Sally’s is also planning on opening four additional spots, in Newington, Norwalk, Wethersfield and Woburn, Massachusetts, according to its website.

Sally’s Apizza was founded in New Haven by Salvatore "Sally" Consiglio in 1938.

“We hand-craft authentic New Haven pizza in custom designed ovens using the original recipes,” reads a post on its website. “Famous for our distinctive tomato sauce and chewy, crispy crust with an iconic oven-kissed char, Sally’s draws pizza fans from around the world.”
