FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield is currently looking to fill vacancies on eight various government groups, including the Conservation Commission, Flood and Erosion Control Board, Parking Authority and FairTV Commission, according to officials.

"Board and Commission members are appointed in a variety of ways," officials wrote on the town's website. "Some appointments are made directly by the First Selectman. Other appointments are recommended by the First Selectman, but require a vote of the Board of Selectmen, the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) and/or another board or commission."
