"While on routine patrol, an officer located the stolen vehicle parked at a residence on Bond Street known for prior drug activity," said Fairfield Police Sgt. Jenna Wellington in a statement. "Officers were given permission by the resident to enter the home and, with her assistance, located Samuel hiding inside. He initially provided a false identity but later admitted to driving the stolen vehicle, claiming he had received it in exchange for a drug debt."
Samuel also directed officers to a hidden location where the vehicle’s key, paperwork, and a check made out to the registered owner were found, according to Wellington.
