Tires Slashed on 16 Cars in Fairfield

The acts of vandalism were committed sometime overnight Saturday into Sunday, police said.

The tires on approximately 16 cars in Fairfield were slashed sometime overnight Saturday into Sunday, police said.  

Two cars were vandalized in a different way: a profanity was spray painted on another vehicle, and someone keyed a profanity onto another car (as well as slashed tires on that car).    

The streets targeted were:    

  • Church Hill Road (Six reports of slashed tires)
  • Lloyd Drive (Two reports of slashed tires) 
  • Davis Road (Two reports of slashed tires) 
  • Bullard Street (One report of slashed tires) 
  • Lenox Road (One report of slashed tires) 
  • Adley Road (Two reports of slashed tires) 
  • Vermont Avenue (One report of slashed tires and a profanity keyed onto the car) 
  • Black Rock Turnpike, in The Karate School parking lot (a report of spray painted profanity on car) 
  • Crane Street (One report of slashed tires)  
A Church Hill Road complainant told police he might have noticed suspects at 8 p.m. Saturday, when he saw two "kids" running and hiding behind cars on his street. One of the suspects was wearing a green hoodie; the other a red hoodie.
