Fairfield Police have been warning citizens via social media to be particularly careful while driving over the holiday weekend.
The police reported 214 motor vehicle accidents in the month of April. They also wrote on twitter, on May 22, "Multiple accidents in town tonight."
The Fairfield Police are also cracking down with DUI checkpoints and roving patrols and a Click It or Ticket Campaign. These will be of particular importance for the long weekend.
