Kohl's employees told police that the suspects took some clothes and the earrings into a dressing room and removed the tags from the jewelry. Some of the tags were found on the floor in the dressing room; the others in a clothes bin.
Both Anastasio and the juvenile were released at the scene and the juvenile was turned over to her mother, who was with the girls at Kohl's at the time of the attempted shoplifting, police said.
