A case of road rage resulted in woman's arrest for allegedly slapping a man across the face on Thursday, police said.

The complainant told police that he was driving to the AT&T store on Black Rock Turnpike and was having trouble passing through the parking lot because a woman's car was parked in the fire lane.

The man yelled at the woman to move her car, according to the report. They exchanged words and the woman -- identified as Shanica Merced, 23, of North Ave in Bridgeport -- walked up to the man's car and slapped him across the face through the open window, police said.

The man called police to report the incident and requested an arrest. Officers noted that a visible handprint was still visible on the man's face, according to the report.
